Mark has 20+ years of experience in networking environments and over 10+ years in just extension (FICON, RDR and tape). He is an internal consultative resource to Brocade, and externally to customers, OEMs and resellers. Mark understands the benefits of Brocade’s ASIC technology and has in-depth technical knowledge of fabrics, protocols, flow control, DCB, TRILL, FCoE, TCP/IP, large scale SAN/LAN architectures. He is also adept at next generation data center networks including convergence and cloud solutions as well as the many types of virtualizations found in data centers. Mark is fluent with other Brocade topics such as VDX/VCS Ethernet Fabrics, Access Gateway, and NOS.
What is a Brocade DCSA?
Mark is a Director level senior member of the headquarters-based market development organization, which reports to the Vice President of World Wide Sales Enablement & Solutions Marketing. Data Center Solution Architects (DCSA) leverage their strength and experience in both business and technology to communicate with authority to audiences of all types. Externally, DCSAs work directly with customers and partners to: gather feedback, to communicate Brocade’s product and technology direction, and to design solutions for customers. Internally, DCSAs work with Engineering and Product Management to deliver customer feedback into the product development process. DCSAs serve as official industry spokespeople for Brocade on technology topics, working closely with industry press and analysts, and/or speaking at industry trade shows and partner events. DCSAs directly provide critical contributions to Brocade’s market strategy, tactics, and to the content and messaging that are integral to communicating with all audiences.
