Dan leads the product and technology strategy at Midokura. Dan has extensive experience building fault tolerant distributed systems in a variety of industries, including e-commerce, financial services, and enterprise infrastructure. He is a co-author of multiple research papers, holds several patents in the field of distributed computing, and is an expert in distributed systems and cloud computing.

Dan co-founded and led Midokura, which offers a software defined networking solution for private clouds and service providers. Before founding Midokura, Dan served as Chief Architect at Ballista Securities, a New York City ATS offering an electronic block trading system for options. Dan was also a tech lead at Amazon.com, where he helped build Dynamo, one of the first NoSQL storage systems, and DRR, a decentralized service load balancing system. Dan has also worked at NGI Group, at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, at Sony Electronics, Oracle, Logitech, and Reliable Network Solutions.

Dan holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts, both in Computer Science, from Cornell University.
